What is solution focused therapy?
Solution focused Hypnotherapy is a modern and clinically-proven approach which looks to help people achieve positive change. Rather than focusing on the ‘problem’, this approach centres around the solution.
This change can be achieved in a relatively short period of time. The philosophy of solution-focused hypnotherapy is based on the work of Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg and the technique they developed, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
Almost like a daydream
Hypnosis or trance describes times when we experience a change in our conscious awareness almost like a daydream, Trance used during hypnotherapy is very different from the kind of things we might see in ‘stage hypnosis’.
Trance states during the day
In our day to day lives, we all naturally go in and out of trance states many times during the day – for example when we are driving or going for a run. During this time, the unconscious mind is more aware and can focus on helpful suggestions and thoughts.
Trance as a natural state
Trance is a very natural and safe state. Trance is not ‘mind control’ contrary to what you might see on the television, when we are in a trance state we are still in control, and we process and decide whether information or suggestions are useful to us or not and will not accept or do anything against our will.

I’ll gather your contact details, relevant medical information, and anything else you feel is important. This ensures your sessions are safe, personalised, and tailored to your individual goals and lifestyle.
How Change Happens (Neuroscience Made Simple)
I’ll explain how the brain works, why we experience emotions the way we do, and how habits and responses are formed. Using practical neuroscience, you’ll learn how the brain can change, adapt, and build new pathways — giving you powerful tools to move forward, strengthen resilience, and create long-term habits that support your wellbeing.
Understanding Trance
I’ll explain what trance is: a natural, everyday state your brain already enters when you daydream, focus deeply, or relax. You’ll learn what to expect, how it supports positive change, and why it’s safe, calming, and effective.
Your Personalised Plan
Most clients benefit from 6–12 sessions. Some focused goals — such as phobias, exam confidence, or smoking/vaping cessation — can be achieved in 1–4 sessions. I also offer an 8-week programme, which is the most popular option for creating structured, lasting change.
Your First Relaxation Experience
You’ll experience a short relaxation trance in your initial session. This helps your mind begin shifting into a state that supports calmness, clarity, and the formation of new, helpful neural pathways.
Support Between Sessions
You’ll receive a relaxation recording to use between sessions. This supports your progress, strengthens new patterns, and helps make your changes more automatic and long-lasting.

These are typical sessions but will vary per client
Rapid Reset Sessions
(1–3 sessions)
For focused, single-trigger goals such as:
Specific phobias (e.g. needles, flying, insects)
Exam / performance calmness
Smoking or vaping cessation (1 session/ 2 hours)
Designed for quick, targeted change using solution-focused and neuro-based techniques.
Extended Thrive Support
(optional)
For clients who enjoy ongoing growth, performance optimisation, or monthly mindset maintenance after completing their programme
Thrive Transformation Programe
(4–12 sessions)
Ideal for outcomes such as:
Reducing anxiety
Building confidence
Improving motivation & stopping procrastination
Enhancing performance (work, study, sports, speaking)
Resetting habits
Emotional balance & stress reduction
Sleep improvement
This is the most popular programme. It supports deeper change,
new habits, and long-term resilience.
Online Hypnotherapy
Your online hypnotherapy session will be just like a physical session.

It has been proven that online therapy can be equal or in some case better, to that of in-person therapy. Clients find that their home environment is more familiar and comforting than someone else space. They can relaxed more and achieve a deeper state of Hypnosis. It also works better for those with busy schedules and find it difficult to fit in appointments.

You will need a lap top, computer or tablet with an in-built video camera or a webcam. Good Wi-Fi signal and a comfortable place to sit or lie down where you won’t be interrupted.
